how does golangci-lint update the linter prealloc?

I checked the changelog of golangci-lintand noticed that there haven’t been updates for the linter prealloc for quite a while. However, when I looked at the original repository, it appears that development is still ongoing, including an update I’m particularly interested in — a fix that reduces false positives when checking ValueSpec values.
My question is: how does golangci-lint update the linter prealloc? Or perhaps someone should be pushing for this?

Since #1790, Golangci-lint uses tagged version of prealloc. So for the fix you're referring to, prealloc needs to cut a new release that includes it. Once that happens, the @dependabot will automatically propose a PR bumping the prealloc version.

You should ask @alexkohler to make a new release of prealloc.
